About Seth Orozco
Seth Orozco became involved with “Beyond Borders” soon after its inception, working as director of photography thru the greenlight process and helping to get the documentary off the ground. He has a passion for documentaries of all kinds and has often found himself working on films dealing with immigration and Mexican-American issues.
His passion for photography began in high school shooting for the school newspaper and yearbook in Loveland, Colorado. Years later, while attending the University of Arizona, he decided to pursue a career in filmmaking as a cinematographer. Seth practiced his art filming several shorts and a feature; his work as cinematographer includes the Best of Arizona award winning short, The Bird Feeder, which premiered at the Arizona International Film Festival in 2001. In the same year, Seth graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Media Arts.
Seth’s industry experience includes two years at Panavision as a camera prep technician and four years working as a freelance camera assistant in television, feature films and commercials. This experience has given him a strong technical foundation and put him on set with some of the worlds most talented cinematographers and directors.
He looks forward to his unfolding career in cinematography: exposing important stories, both fictional and real, with a hope of opening minds and changing the priorities of the average American.
Seth lives in Pasadena, CA.
